If an envelope is sent back to OCR will it go through Smart Capture again?

No

Can users create new columns for Smart Capture tables?

What is in charge of deleting Smart Capture-generated line items when a user clicks Re-Extract?

Dynamic Templates (DT) deletes line items once it receives the envelope from OCR.

How can the user determine if an envelope should run Smart Capture or DT?

Smart Capture runs an envelope if it has:

  • Zero remit lines or if there is one remit line with no search identifiers
  • An amount that matches the credit amount
  • A remit status of 0; this ghost remit line is generated from system workflow

If the envelope has one or more line items or if the one line item does not have the previously mentioned criteria, Smart Capture will not run.

If the Re-Extract button is clicked, is there any way to stop the action?

Yes, the user is prompted to confirm or cancel the action.
