Create procedures
Procedures help you collect overdue invoices by placing critical collection steps on a timeline. Each step represents an action such as calling the account contact, sending a reminder, or issuing a debt-collection letter - giving you a clear view of where each account stands and what needs to happen next.
Steps
- In the Collections navigation header, select Settings.
- Select Procedures from the left menu.
- Select Add procedure.
- Select how the procedure starts:
Option Description Procedure assigner Only one account procedure runs at a time - use this for a single, standard collection flow Whenever start conditions are met Multiple procedures can run simultaneously based on conditions you specify - use this for more complex or segmented collection flows - Select the subject of the procedure:
Option Description Account Only child accounts that match procedure criteria are included. You can still escalate reminders to the parent account. Account hierarchy Includes the entire account structure - parent and child accounts together - Give the procedure a descriptive name.
- Select the company to which the procedure applies.
- Select a progression type:
Option Description When to Use Leading days in procedure Collection steps are triggered when an unpaid invoice reaches a specified number of days in procedure Use this when you want steps to progress based on the age of the invoice Days after previous step The procedure progresses based on the number of days since the last collection step was completed Use this when you want steps to progress based on collector activity - that is, when the last step was completed - Select Submit.
Next Steps
