Configuration
There are several steps to configuring Credit review. Select the drop-down for more information on each step.
Credit review must be enabled in Collections permissions.
-
Enable credit_review_module in admin config with a permission. Once enabled you can use the credit review feature.
-
Enable credit_review_user to enable full access to credit reviews for all users in collections.
There is a role specific for a credit reviewer. This role only sees accounts in credit review and allows users to see the credit review page, finish credit review and alter the credit limit where needed.
You do not need to change the role of existing collections users as there are permission to enable the full credit review capabilities for these users.
Need to disable Credit review user?
You can enable/disable the permission above or by going into the user settings and enabling the credit review user permission.
There is one (1) default tracking list you can enable that contains all the accounts with an active credit review. Add the default tracking list in the worksheet settings. The list is named Accounts in credit review. It contains a list of all the accounts that have an active review with the following columns:
- Account name: Credit review debtor name
- Account reference: Credit review debtor reference
- Credit limit: Credit review initial credit limit
- Credit limit currency: Credit review initial credit limit currency
- Start date: Credit review start date
- Reasons for review: Credit review reason types comma separated
- Last credit review note: Credit review debtor last credit review note
- Total outstanding: Credit review debtor total outstanding
- Total due: Credit review debtor total due
You can also make the tracking lists completely customizable to your needs. Use the base for credit reviews for this when creating a new tracking list:
Report on all the active and finished credit reviews by creating a dynamic report with Credit review as the base.
Use the reports together with the task configuration to send out daily/weekly reports to the ERP of the customer to update the credit limit in their source system.
Example of the columns you can select from this reporting category: an import field is the credit limit denomination field. This is the credit limit that is set upon finishing the credit review. This value should flow back into the accounting system of the customer.
You can use predefined triggers to start a credit review. For example you can create a trigger to start the credit review if the credit utilization goes over 80 percent.
To configure the triggers navigate to the settings of collections and select Automatic triggers section.
Click Add to define a trigger from scratch.
-
Name the trigger. This name is also used as the reason for starting the review when triggered.
-
Define one (1) or multiple triggers. When the defined rules apply for an account, it will move to active review.
