Oracle Fusion Cloud
integration guide
Overview
Data Bridge connects to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP through Oracle REST APIs in two product namespaces. It pulls AR invoices, bill-to accounts and sites, receipts, contacts, sales reps and nested child resources. It then stages the data in MongoDB and transforms it into Billtrust file formats.
The Oracle Fusion integration has these characteristics:
- ERP type:
oracle-fusion - API: Fusion REST with
fscmRestApi(Financials and SCM) andcrmRestApi(CRM). Each namespace has its own metadata instead of a single OData$metadatacatalog - Schema discovery: per-resource
…/resources/latest/{resource}/describe - Naming: camelCase entity set names (
receivablesInvoices, billToAccounts) and PascalCase field names (TransactionNumber,PartyId) - Keys: numeric surrogate
*Idprimary keys, human-readable*Numbernatural keys and composite primary keys on some resources - Authentication: HTTP Basic (default) or OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials (IDCS or OCI IAM), depending on the tenant
- Child resources: parent key fields injected by the connector onto staged child rows for entities available only through a parent
?expand=parameter - PDF sync: unavailable in this connector (
supportsPdfSync = false) - TLS: Oracle-hosted certificates with no
tlsVerifyoverride
Setup and credentials
Required fields
Enter these fields for every Oracle Fusion connection.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| ERP Type | oracle-fusion
|
| Base URL | Fusion Cloud instance base URL, for example https://icmajb-test.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com. Omit the API path |
| Auth Method | basic (default) or oauth_client_credentials |
Basic Auth fields
Use these fields when authMethod is basic or omitted.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Username | Fusion Cloud user with REST read access |
| Password | User password |
OAuth Client Credentials fields
Use these fields when authMethod is oauth_client_credentials.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Client ID | Confidential application client ID (IDCS or OCI IAM) |
| Client Secret | Client secret |
| Token URL | Token endpoint, for example https://idcs-xxx.identity.oraclecloud.com/oauth2/v1/token |
| Scope | Fusion resource scope URN. Optional unless the tenant requires one |
Not every Fusion tenant has a confidential application provisioned. Confirm with your Oracle admin before you select OAuth. Basic Auth works on every tenant without extra IdP setup.
Authentication flow
Data Bridge handles each method as follows.
Basic
- Data Bridge sends the header
Authorization: Basic <base64(username:password)>on every request. - Data Bridge keeps no token cache.
OAuth client credentials
- Data Bridge requests a client credentials grant from
tokenUrl. - Data Bridge sends the bearer token on subsequent REST calls.
- The connector refreshes the token when it expires or when a request returns a 401 error, as implemented in the Fusion auth module.
Setting up Oracle Fusion
Complete these steps in your Oracle Fusion environment.
- Identify the Fusion Cloud base URL for each environment (test and production).
- Select an authentication method:
- For Basic, create or select a user with read access to the Receivables and CRM REST resources listed in the next section.
- For OAuth, provision a confidential application in IDCS or OCI IAM, grant the Fusion REST scopes and record the client ID, client secret and token URL.
- Allow Data Bridge egress to the Fusion host. For OAuth, also allow egress to the token host.
What Data Bridge accesses
Data Bridge reads from these namespaces and resources.
| Namespace | Example resources | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
fscmRestApi/resources/latest/
|
receivablesInvoices, standardReceipts, suppliers |
AR invoices and receipts. Suppliers are available but billing formats do not use them |
crmRestApi/resources/latest/
|
billToAccounts, billToSites, billToContacts, accounts, contacts, salesreps, paymentTerms |
Customers and bill-to accounts, contacts, reps and terms |
| Child expands | receivablesInvoiceLines, Note, SalesTeamMember |
Lines, notes and rep-to-account links |
The following code block shows example paths.
GET {baseUrl}/fscmRestApi/resources/latest/receivablesInvoices?limit=500
GET {baseUrl}/fscmRestApi/resources/latest/receivablesInvoices/describe
GET {baseUrl}/crmRestApi/resources/latest/billToAccounts?limit=500
GET {baseUrl}/fscmRestApi/resources/latest/receivablesInvoices?expand=receivablesInvoiceLines
All access is read-only. The default page size caps at about 500 records (limit query parameter).
